Requirements for company registration in Singapore
- Director
You can have more than one director for your company in Singapore. A foreigner, who wants to register a company in Singapore, is required to appoint local resident director. A local resident director is normally a person who is a Singapore Citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident or valid employment pass, entrepass.
A minimum age to be a director in Singapore is at least 18 years, no criminal record and not disqualified from acting as a director of a company (e.g., an undischarged bankrupt).
If you are foreigner holding Employment pass, you will need to obtain a Letter of Consent from MOM to act as local director in Singapore. We can assist you to apply for Letter of consent prior to the appointment of local director.
